Will shooting the video be obtrusive or interfere with my wedding?
Rest assured, this is probably one of the most common concerns. As a long time Southern California Wedding video specialist, we have years of experience that assures we will never be "in the way." Our goal is to capture the moment, not the attention. We'll never interfere with the flow of events. In fact, if we do our job right, you might forget we're there. But the results you get will tell you differently. Come and see us and we'll explain how we'll get every shot you're hoping for.
Will it play on my DVD at home?
If your DVD player is less than 2 years old, the answer is - more than likely you will have no problems at all. The newer your equipment the better the chance that your DVD from NewCam will play perfectly fine. However, if your DVD is over 2 years old it may or may not depending on the type of playback scheme used by your equipment. We use the most up-to-date DVD burners on the market today. This helps us ensure that our DVD's will play back in as many home DVD players as possible. However, due to the lack of standardization, NewCam makes no implicit guarantees regarding DVD compatibility.
Won't you need to use a lot of bright lights?
At NewCam we use only the latest professional video cameras. These new cameras are so light sensitive that they virtually eliminate the need for lights in all but the darkest rooms. With these new cameras we are able to manipulate ambient and natural light to our advantage and the results will amaze you. Having said that, proper lighting IS required for OPTIMUM video quality.
Who will be the videographer for my event?
After your initial meeting with us you'll know that you can trust the integrity and professionalism of NewCam Video. All our videographers are highly experienced and talented at what they do. Each operator has a passion for what he is doing and will work hard to see that your video is everything you've come to expect from NewCam. After all, our reputation is built around our personal service.
How long will my finished video be?
Years of experience have taught us that each event dictates the length of the video. We produce videos that are long enough to cover everything that is important, yet not so long that become a bore to watch. Talk to us and we'll make sure that everything you specify will be right where you expect it to be.
Will you be interviewing my guests?
We recommend that at the very least you have the bridal party, parents and grandparents say something to you on the video. If this is acceptable, we will work this segment into your reception or prior to the start of the ceremony. We will never overstep our bounds and become intrusive on your guests. We believe that over time, you'll be glad your close family and friends had an opportunity to share their hearts with you at this joyful time.
What kind of cameras do you use?
Clients ask this question a lot. Usually because they have heard opinions from several videographers who all think that their camera is the very best.
So what is the "best" camera for your event? Here's the bottom line: We use the latest Sony digital video 3CCD cameras. This allows us to use cameras that are slightly less obtrusive and still capture video in amazing resolution and clarity. These cameras are more sensitive to light than the human eye. This is a once in a lifetime event, so don't settle for anything less than pure Digital formats, the best format available today!
What if something goes wrong with the equipment?
No need to worry here. At NewCam we come prepared with plenty of backup equipment. In all the years we've been shooting video, we've never missed a shoot because of equipment problems.
How long will I have to wait to see my video?
We've all heard the horror stories - months to get back videos and pictures of your wedding! What can be more frustrating? You were so nervous that day you can hardly remember it. Now you can't wait to see so that you can relive that wonderful day. We've heard the stories too, but they're never about NewCam. We pride ourselves on our fast turn around.
How much can I be involved in the final look of my video?
At NewCam we like to say that you are the director. If you have specifics, we will follow your directions. If you don't know quite what you want then trust our editors to have the experience and creativity to turn your memories into a wonderful story on tape. We may even bring you to tears.
